2 Separate Rear-End Collisions Killed 2 People on the Florida Turnpike in Orange County

On Saturday, January 22, 2022, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that a woman was driving early Monday in an accident on the Florida Turnpike, where investigators were analyzing a previous tragic crash. The first deadly collision occurred around mile marker 269 in the southbound lanes of the turnpike at 3:20 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 22-year-old Orlando lady was driving a car when it stopped abruptly in the right lane of the turnpike for an unclear cause. According to an Florida Highway Patrol incident report, a pickup truck operated by a 22-year-old Port Clinton, Ohio, male drove into the rear of the automobile, killing the lady. According to authorities, the Ohio guy received minor injuries. According to the Florida Highway Patrol investigation, both passengers were wearing seat belts. Another tragic collision occurred in the same location an hour and 40 minutes later. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Road Ranger was stopped in a southbound lane close to the only available lane in the neighborhood, dealing with the initial tragic collision. According to officers, the truck’s lights were turned on, and an arrow sign and cones were put on the road to direct cars to the sole available lane of travel. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Kissimmee lady refused to slow down and went over the cones, crashing into the rear of the Road Ranger’s pickup truck. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the lady, who was wearing a seat belt, was transferred to Health Central, where she died. According to authorities, the Road Ranger, a 28-year-old Groveland male, had minor injuries.
